This shot was so nearly thwarted by 1P68 limping along the 'Up Slow'! - Grand Central's 1A60 service, the 06:53 service from Sunderland to London Kings Cross screams South through Arlesey with 43080 in charge and 43067 on the rear, the gold doors towards the front of the 6-car train denote the first class carriages. Grand Central have recently annouced plans to implement their full timetable during the first week of March |

26th February 2008 - the last day of operation under the name of 'one' Railway which was formed on April 1st 2004. The Great Eastern Main Line remains one of the few remaining areas in England which sees scheduled loco-hauled workings utilising 15 Class 90s (excluding those which are on-hire!), one such example is 90002 propelling 1P26, the midday departure from London Liverpool Street to Norwich, the service is on time as it passes through Hatfield Peverel |
