A quick update from Hatfield Peverel of 60090 with 6V17 to Acton, plus a couple of shots of de-branded stock prior to next weeks launch of National Express East Anglia.

An hour lineside on the ECML at Church End, Arlesey for 86101 heading to Doncaster and the Grand Central HST heading for Kings Cross.

27th February - Goodbye 'one', Hello National Express!
A selection of photos from a pleasant morning lineside near Marks Tey capturing various GEML movements including 90003 with the National Express stock heading to Liverpool Street for the official launch of 'National Express East Anglia', then over to Bradfield for 360115 in full 'NXEA' livery!

This shot was so nearly thwarted by 1P68 limping along the 'Up Slow'! - Grand Central's 1A60 service, the 06:53 service from Sunderland to London Kings Cross screams South through Arlesey with 43080 in charge and 43067 on the rear, the gold doors towards the front of the 6-car train denote the first class carriages. Grand Central have recently annouced plans to implement their full timetable during the first week of March

 26th February 2008 - the last day of operation under the name of 'one' Railway which was formed on April 1st 2004. The Great Eastern Main Line remains one of the few remaining areas in England which sees scheduled loco-hauled workings utilising 15 Class 90s (excluding those which are on-hire!), one such example is 90002 propelling 1P26, the midday departure from London Liverpool Street to Norwich, the service is on time as it passes through Hatfield Peverel
