EWS liveried Class 66, No.66027 provides the horses for 6L27, the 'Thursdays Only' 10:30 Wembley - Harwich Parkeston Quay Enterprise working, the train consists of 'FCA/FKA/KFA' Intermodal wagons but with a number of 'TTA' loaded fuel tanks attached onto the rear of the train for use by Freightliner locomotives at Ipswich - the tanks being tripped locally from Harwich to Ipswich later in the afternoon. The train heads North through Margaretting, Essex shortly before it's progress towards Harwich was thwarted by a lightning strike in the Hatfield Peverel area causing several signals and Track Circuits to fail |

02nd May - Perhaps the most commonly photographed stretch of the branch is the small section between Lymington Town and Lymington Pier where the line borders Lymington Marina. Amongst the impressive display of no doubt expensive marine machinery, the slammer slows for the stop at Lymington Town with 1J42, the 16:14 service from Lymington Pier to Brockenhurst. The Lymington branch is the only stretch of track in the UK to retain such stock in revenue earning service, and with views such as this available it remains popular with enthusiasts |

This train runs daily, however Thursday's train also consists of a small rake of 'TTA' tanks which are tripped locally from Harwich to Ipswich later in the afternoon for use by Freightliner locomotives. A small gap in the foliage allows the enthusiast to witness activity across the estuary on the Great Eastern Main Line! |
